Giuseppe Pastore

Bio  

 

Giuseppe Pastore  was born in Cosenza. After high school diploma and a degree in Physics at Pisa University, on an afternoon in September 2010, began by chance to paint on an old canvas found in his house. First nothing, never used brushes or canvas or never thought before having to use oil paints or acrylics. 

 The creative act soon becomes a necessity, an escape valve also to soothe his anxieties. Work after work, his research, in a world unknown to him, goes from being random, frantic and chaotic with the use of acrylic colors to be more thoughtful with using mainly oil paints. In many of his early paintings the common theme is that of the infinite, concept developed sometimes unconsciously or with the search of the depth or the infinity sign on the canvas. Then the research went further considering geometric themes and movement.  

However, everything is very gestural, instinctive and impulsive. The painting of Giuseppe Pastore approaches mainly to the action painting.
